LYS-SEN ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the LYS-SEN mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create an account or use the app:
- Account information: email address, display name, profile photo, and date of birth (to verify you are 18+)
- Profile information: bio, per-minute rate (companions only), online status
- Messages: chat messages sent between seekers and companions
- Payment information: wallet balance, transaction history. Card details are processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers
- Device information: push notification token, device type
- Usage data: session start/end times, session duration, connection logs
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the LYS-SEN service
- To process payments and manage wallet balances
- To send push notifications (billing alerts, session requests)
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To respond to support requests
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers:
- Stripe — payment processing and companion payouts (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting (Supabase Privacy Policy)
- Expo (Expo Push Notifications) — delivery of push notifications (Expo Privacy Policy)
- OpenAI — automated content moderation of messages (OpenAI Privacy Policy)
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat messages are retained for up to 90 days after a session ends. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).
5. Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled via Supabase Auth using industry-standard security practices. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time via your device settings
To request account deletion or a data export, email us at privacy@lyssen.app. We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
LYS-SEN is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
